MORE – Collaborative Laboratory Mountains of Research – Association, hereinafter referred to as MORE CoLAB, is a non-profit association, legally established in 2018 and starting its activity in June 2019. MORE CoLAB has an associative structure with members that include research units, associated laboratories, higher education institutions (Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, Polytechnic of Guarda and University of Porto), intermediate and interface institutions, technological centers (BLC3, ISQ, Brigantia EcoPark, CNCFS, Requimte and Fundação Côa Parque), public and private companies (TecPan, Resíduos do Nordeste, Deifil, Sementes Vivas and Oldcare) and local associations (APPITAD).
Misiones - Missions
MORE CoLAB's mission is to promote the development of mountain regions, with a focus on Mediterranean mountains, in order to generate innovation along three lines: industrial innovation, with the market launch of new products and services based on local resources from mountain regions; technological innovation, investing in industry 4.0 and a more efficient use of natural resources; and social innovation with a positive impact on the economy and sustainable development, and also contribute to the creation of qualified employment that generates economic, social and cultural value.
To achieve its Vision, MORE CoLAB aims to be a reference institution in innovation and in the transfer of green and digital technology, capable of ensuring the sustainable development of mountain regions.
